Creating Keepsakes comes to Photo Craft in Honolulu May 26, 2001!

Deanna Lambson from Creating Keepsakes (shown here far right) did a fantastic job in teaching 6 1-hour classes during her May 26th visit with Photo Craft in Honolulu. She taught classes on Disney / Vacation pages, Scrapbook Design, and Creative Journaling.

We then closed the day with an Open Crop from 6:30 - 10:30 p.m. at Liliuokalani Elementary School in the cafeteria.

We catered a delicious dinner from JJ's..........

and held a creative lei border contest . Deanna was very impressed with the level of creativity by our Hawaii group. Winners from the contest included: Cheryl Eberlin, Wendy Li, Sandra Aoyagi, Amy Shibuya, Lauree Sakaida.

Here's a nice review on the AOL board by one of our attendees:

"Hi!

Just wanted to drop the board a line regarding the CK Day at Photocraft in
Honolulu!

The day was filled with booked classes and Deanna from CK was a busy person!

I wish I registered for more than one class, but due to our schedule we attended only one.

We went to the Disney class and Deanna also incorporated vacation tips for before, during, and after your trip, to gather up all that important info you would need to do a really great album! She also showed tips on doing your pages that were fresh and interesting. In the evening Photocraft did an Open Crop that was a lot of fun!

There was a contest on Hawaiian pages and there several winners! Both Deanna and her husband Don circulated around the crop spending time with many of the Scrapbookers if not all of them! There were many other giveaways during the entire evening and the scrapbookers had a chance to share ideas and stories about their pages with each other!

My hats off to Photocraft and CK for a Wonderful Fun Day! All I can say is that I've read before about how nice and down to earth the people from CK have been at the mainland events, but there's nothing like experiencing it in person! If the board members ever have the opportunity to go to a CK event in your town , my suggestion is don't walk but run to register! IMHO ...LOL

Aloha
Sandra "
